Our client and their needs
The end customer’s spare parts warehouse consisted of several distinct zones:
Packing zones,
High-bay storage zones (served by automated storage and retrieval systems),
Order picking zones,
Sorting zones for ready shipments.
Each of these zones required a consistent control system, integrated with both the older part of the warehouse and the overarching management system.
Project Goal
Our team’s task was to prepare the PLC control program for the entire intralogistics system, based on the client’s programming standards, and to commission a total of 5 conveyor system zones along with peripheral devices at the end customer’s site.

Our Solution
We prepared a PLC control program supporting the intralogistics system across five zones of the spare parts warehouse, fully compliant with the client’s programming standards.
Project Scope
Preparation of the PLC control program for all 5 zones,
Commissioning of conveyor systems along with peripheral devices,
Integration with automated storage and retrieval systems,
Integration with the older, existing part of the warehouse,
Integration with the overarching management system.
Project Challenges
The biggest challenge was the simultaneous commissioning of a very large, multi-stage installation covering 5 independent zones.
We managed this by engaging several teams working in parallel.
An additional requirement was to adapt to the client’s programming standard instead of using our own previously developed approach.
Technological Solutions
The system is based on:
5× Siemens PLCs (Safety Integrated),
5× Siemens HMI panels,
Profinet and AS-i communication networks.
We implemented a safety system based on E-stop switches and mechanical interlocks, as well as integration with dynamic scales and the client’s overarching system.
Project Effects
Our team successfully implemented a very large, multi-stage installation through the simultaneous work of several teams, while maintaining full compliance with the client’s programming standards.
We supported the client at every stage of implementation—from programming and integration with existing infrastructure to commissioning all five zones.
