Our Solution
Our engineering team was responsible for commissioning the BHS control system at the airport facility.
We worked as specialist support for the integrator responsible for the entire system — just as we do when supporting other integrators at a selected stage of a project.
Project Challenges
The biggest challenge was a very tight schedule — flight timetables at the airport were already fixed, so the time available for implementation was severely limited.
Despite this, our team completed the commissioning on time.
Technological Solutions
The system we developed was based on the following platform:
The Intelli team developed a control algorithm enabling:
Siemens S7-1500F Safety Integrated PLC,
Siemens HMI panels,
an industrial IPC computer,
Profinet and AS-i communication networks.
We also implemented an extensive safety system: E-stop buttons, safety rope-pull switches, safety light curtains, and magnetic safety interlocks.
164 chain conveyor drives
4 transport lifts
4 autonomous transfer carts
Project Outcomes
By meeting this very tight deadline, the airport commenced full operations according to the planned schedule — with no delays resulting from our part of the implementation.
